How the math works (OC): For the chosen depth, FO₂ is set to deliver the target ppO₂ exactly, then the algorithm finds the smallest helium fraction that keeps both the END and the gas density at or below their targets. If both targets are already satisfied without helium, a nitrox mix is recommended. Density uses 0°C reference values (O₂ 1.429, N₂ 1.251, He 0.179 g/L).

How the math works (CC): FO₂ in the diluent is set so a diluent flush at depth would not exceed your max diluent ppO₂. The loop gas at depth has ppO₂ = setpoint and the rest of the ata is filled by the diluent’s inerts in their N₂/He ratio. The algorithm finds the smallest helium fraction in the diluent that keeps loop END and loop density at or below your targets. Density uses 0°C reference values (O₂ 1.429, N₂ 1.251, He 0.179 g/L).
